Development

It is necessary first of all to understand and comprehend how the design will be created.

Carefully choosing the correct elements, only then shall be submitted a design or a sketch that would define and reflect the brand. Sometimes everything may seems so obvious other times it’s harder, once the patterns has been defined we then will proceed by creating a prototype.

Each and every element are twined and depend on one another, the type of materials chosen, the kind of finishes and final texture.

Once the prototype has been finalised, the assemble process can start.

Cutting

Once the leather has been selected, we will then prepare cutting the leather hide according to the pattern template with the appropriate cutting tools exclusively by hand.

This is the stage that we prefer most, the one which determines the beauty, uniformity and the final point of the product.

Our artisanship does not just consists of cutting the leather like a common piece of cloth, but instead to make it alive and to optimise the material and to place every pieces in the right place.

At this very moment, you will find out if your product will be at the highest quality as per my expectation.

Splitting, Skiving & Cementing

Once cut, the leather is skived to reduce the thickness at the edges.

Finally the gluing stage (gluing the lining and the exteriors) before passing on to the assembling process.

Assembling

During the assembling process, the leather goods are then crafted, edge painted before, then to be threaded and sewed entirely by hand. Every product is unique, it is impossible to produce two identical products even if you use the same material, as the true beauty of each and every leather hide is unique.

Little by little being transformed into a luxury timeless piece that you have chosen.

Control quality

Before the delivery of every article, the products have to undergo the final stage of pampering; each and every product is inspected, where our experts shall verify whether the leather goods have been realised according to the proper manner and in which Taviani Firenze is leaving in each of these symbolic pieces of art, part of our passion and heart.
